About the Role

A top-tier consulting firm is seeking Senior Consultants, Managers, and Senior Managers to join its Business Transformation practice with a focus on the Asset Management industry. This role offers an opportunity to work on high-impact strategy, operations, and technology transformation projects, partnering with leading asset managers, hedge funds, and private equity firms.

You’ll play a key role in assessing business challenges, designing target operating models, optimizing processes, selecting and implementing systems, and navigating regulatory change. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in consulting or internal transformation roles who are looking to drive meaningful change in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct current state assessments and develop future-state target operating models for asset managers and financial services firms.
  • Lead and support business process improvement, operational transformation, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Assist clients with system selection, implementation, and vendor assessments for asset management technology solutions.
  • Develop business process flows, gap analyses, and strategic roadmaps.
  • Perform requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder interviews to align business needs with solutions.
  • Create client presentations and project updates using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Define and execute user acceptance testing (UAT), system test plans, and change management strategies.
  • Provide industry insights and best practices to optimize client operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Support internal business development efforts, including proposal writing, thought leadership, and recruiting initiatives.

Ideal Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in consulting (Big Four or equivalent) or an internal transformation role within asset management, private equity, hedge funds, or wealth management.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management operations, fund structures, investor allocations, waterfall calculations, and risk management.
  • Experience with trading strategies, data management, performance attribution, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with knowledge of database tools (SQL, MS Access, Oracle) being a plus.
  • Familiarity with asset management software such as Advent Geneva, Investran, eFront, Burgiss Private I, iLevel, AltaReturn, BlackMountain, Yardi, or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to navigate complex business issues, and a structured approach to analysis.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high energy, and a strong sense of ownership in project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with clients and teams.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Systems, Accounting, or a related discipline.
