Overview
We are partnering with a leading consulting firm seeking a Manager to join its Investment Management Strategy practice.
This team advises asset managers, wealth managers, private markets firms, hedge funds, and other investment organisations on growth strategy, operating model transformation, product development, distribution effectiveness, and enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives.
This is an opportunity to work directly with C-suite executives and senior leadership teams on some of the industry’s most complex and high-profile strategic challenges.
Responsibilities
- Advise senior executives on strategic growth initiatives, business transformation programmes, and operating model redesign efforts
- Lead strategy engagements and workstreams from initial problem definition through analysis, recommendations, and implementation planning
- Develop growth strategies, market entry assessments, product strategies, and business transformation roadmaps
- Analyse market, financial, operational, and competitive data to develop actionable insights
- Support clients in improving scale, efficiency, and organisational effectiveness
- Facilitate executive workshops and stakeholder discussions
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders across investment management organisations
- Contribute to business development activities including proposals, client presentations, and solution development
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior consulting team members
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, technology innovation, and competitive dynamics impacting the investment management sector
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience within management consulting, corporate strategy, or investment management strategy
- Experience working with asset managers, wealth managers, private markets firms, hedge funds, or related financial institutions
- Proven experience developing and implementing growth, business, or operating model strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience leading client engagements and managing project teams
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and complex environments
- Bachelor’s degree required
