Overview
We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation seeking an experienced Director to join its Wealth Management Consulting team.
This role will work closely with wealth management firms, financial advisors, and executive leadership teams to help drive business growth, improve client experiences, enhance operational efficiency, and develop long-term strategic plans.
The successful candidate will combine industry expertise, consulting experience, and strong relationship management skills to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients while helping shape the future direction of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Partner with wealth management firms and senior leadership teams to identify growth opportunities and strategic priorities
- Deliver consulting engagements focused on business growth, operational improvement, client experience, and practice management
- Develop and present strategic recommendations to executive and C-suite stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops, strategy sessions, and business planning discussions
- Analyse market trends, industry developments, and business performance metrics to support client decision-making
- Build trusted relationships with clients and industry stakeholders
- Contribute to thought leadership, market insights, and consulting methodologies
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities to expand client relationships and deliver additional value
- Support business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the consulting practice
- Act as a subject matter expert within the wealth management industry
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience within wealth management, financial services consulting, practice management, business strategy, or advisory services
- Strong understanding of wealth management business models and advisor practices
- Experience working with financial advisors, wealth management firms, registered investment advisors (RIAs), broker-dealers, or related financial institutions
- Proven ability to engage with senior executives and business owners
- Strong consulting, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Experience
- Consulting experience within the wealth management industry
- Experience advising leadership teams on growth strategy, business development, client acquisition, or operational effectiveness
- Exposure to advisor practice management, operating model design, business transformation, or strategic planning
- Industry licenses or professional qualifications are advantageous
